VFX tool RV 3.10 debuts at IBC

Tweak Software has announced the latest version of RV, its image and sequence viewer for VFX and animation artists, at IBC. RV 3.10 features an intuitive drag and drop interface, remote review for easy collaboration, and integration and customisation capabilities for a variety of pipelines and workflows.

Leading VFX and CG animation studios around the world including Digital Domain, WETA, Aardman, ILM and many others use RV to playback and review digital media. RV’s professional, high-performance toolset is built on an open, extensible architecture allowing users to adapt the software to their own pipelines and styles of working.

The most notable enhancement in RV 3.10 is an intuitive drag and drop interface for comparing, editing, and laying out media for review and playback. These tools also work with RV’s remote synchronisation features for remote review with clients, vendors or other artists.

Other RV 3.10 capabilities include 2K, HDR and Floating Point playback from RAM or disk, the ability to layout shots or cuts in tiled views and offer A/B compares with wipes.
You can edit sequences with a selection of lightweight intuitive tools and script, customise and automate RV to fit into your pipeline or workflow

“This is a major advancement for RV,” said Seth Rosenthal, Tweak’s president, “the new tools in RV 3.10 make it easy for artists to combine, organise, edit, and compare media in RV. We have worked hard to create a lean, intuitive user interface that is powerful but deceptively simple.”
