Adobe has released an update to Photoshop CS5, addressing\u00a0a number of high priority bugs including painting performance and type-related issues.<\/p>\n

The update addresses some high profile issues with Photoshop CS5 <\/p><\/div>\n

The Adobe Photoshop 12.0.2 update helps speed up painting performance and fixes a number of problems discovered after Photoshop CS5 was released including potential security vulnerabilities,crashing bugs related to typography and fonts, intermittent file format problems and more.<\/p>\n

The most significant fixes in the Photoshop 12.0.2 update include the following:<\/p>\n

\u2014 A number of potential security vulnerabilities have been addressed
\n\u2014 Top type and font crashers found in the field have been addressed
\n\u2014 A number of performance issues have been addressed
\n\u2014 Crash opening 3D layers has been addressed
\n\u2014 Color Engine crash has been resolved
\n\u2014 Intermittent file format issues addressed
\n\u2014 Shift scrolling bug fixed
\n\u2014 Sharpen crasher fixed
\n\u2014 Marching ants not seen at certain zoom levels fixed
\n\u2014 Metadata focus distance issue addressed
\n\u2014 File info bug addressed for Orphea Studio jpg files
\n\u2014 TWAIN crashers fixed
\n\u2014 Brush cursor bug fixed
\n\u2014 Histogram progress bar issue fixed
\n\u2014 Droplet issues addressed<\/p>\n

The updater will update only the retail version of Adobe Photoshop CS5 and not any prerelease (beta) versions<\/p>\n
