Jellyfish Pictures has completed VFX shots on the BBC production of The Challenger for BBC TWO.\u00a0 The new factual drama, starring William Hurt, tells the story of American Nobel prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman\u2019s determination to reveal the truth behind the 1986 space shuttle Challenger disaster.<\/p>\n

\"challenger_www.jellyfishpictures.co.uk\"<\/p>\n

Jellyfish Pictures was asked to complete several set, crowd and environmental extensions on the film, adding big production value where needed. The effects were all ‘invisible’, involving extension of live action footage of the shuttle launch pad, Marshall Space centre, rocket booster, rocket test and recovery hangar. Jellyfish also worked on a number of crowd extension shots in the lecture theatre.<\/p>\n

The film airs on BBC Two (this evening) March 18th at 9pm and will be available on iPlayer.<\/p>\n
