Adobe will reveal an updated Creative Cloud for video at IBC<\/a> this week, sporting a cleaner, updated UI, streamlined multi-project workflows and enhanced support for large projects. A refreshed user-interface\u00a0across all the video applications supports HiDPI displays for both Mac Retina Displays and Windows 8.1.<\/p>\n

\"Premiere-IBC-2104\"<\/p>\n

New features in Premiere Pro include automatically generated search bins\u00a0and the\u00a0Consolidate & Transcode feature that converts sequences or an entire project into a single codec. The new\u00a0Source Monitor Timeline view opens a second Timeline for media and sequences from other projects, making it easy to bring existing clips, edits, transitions, or graphics directly into your current project.<\/p>\n

The addition of native file support for the GoPro CineForm codec boosts cross-platform workflows, while performance enhancements include accelerated Masking & Tracking and new GPU-optimised playback that delivers better performance when viewing extremely high resolution 4K and UltraHD footage from AJA RAW,Phantom Cine, Canon RAW and RED R3D files.<\/p>\n

\"Speedgrade-ibc-2104\"<\/p>\n

Speedgrade is boosted by Curve adjustments, such as\u00a0Hue & Saturation curves, which allow you to boost or mute parts of the colour spectrum. \u00a0There are also Look Hover previews, as well as Grading Layer Grouping where you can group and name parts of your overall Look, combine Looks, or copy and paste selected grading layers.<\/p>\n

Adobe also revealed today that\u00a0the next release of After Effects will offer an enhanced Live 3D Pipeline,\u00a0adding Cineware 2.0 and CINEMA 4D R16 compatibility, so\u00a0allowing artists to work faster with 3D elements in their compositions. It will also feature enhanced Anywhere collaboration, and usability refinements.<\/p>\n

Prelude has been revamped with Rough Cut transitions including dissolves as well as the ability to place\u00a0In and Out points more efficiently. Users can set keyboard shortcuts for tagging, as well as gaining the ability to augment camera audio with new support for multiple audio tracks.<\/p>\n

\"Prelude-ibc-2014\"<\/p>\n

Adobe Media Encoder gains greater automation with destination publishing, with preset options to allow users to render, deliver and share projects to multiple locations such as FTP sites and Creative Cloud folders. Extended Match Source support now includes added support for the QuickTime and DNxHD formats, simplifying workflows for transcoding or rendering content.<\/p>\n

Audio tool Audition gains extended video format support, including RED, XDCAM, MXF, and others. Video files will now load faster and play more smoothly claimed Adobe. Users can minimise background noises while amplifying and\u00a0levelling speech\u00a0while a new Target Dynamic Range parameter provides better volume levelling for spoken content. Users can also read and add notes to audio files with iXML metadata support, including information such as Scene, Take, or time code formats.<\/p>\n

The Creative Cloud updates are expected to ship in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Adobe also announced updates planned for Adobe Anywhere, its collaborative workflow platform. Enhanced support for\u00a0Adobe After Effects CC and\u00a0new options in the Adobe Anywhere app for iPad are added, to allow users to scrub and review video footage faster.<\/p>\n
